This place is a scam. The $99 you pay upfront is just to "diagnose" it. I had a tiny thumbdrive and after they ran their "diagnostics" they quoted over $3000 to recover the data. My data is not that important on this thumb drive. I cancelled the recovery and picked up my thumb drive so I paid $99 basically for nothing. The weird thing is when i go to look at the link for the quote, now it says $985 - $1300.

I reached out to a local computer repair store after my main drive suddenly stopped its read/write capacity. They ran through a number of diagnostics, and after nothing worked they suggested WeRecoverData Data Recovery. I was pleased with WeRecoverData Data Recovery step by step process to quickly get the drive to their store, the explanation of their diagnostics, and a thorough overview of what I could expect. Service was fast, and I was pleased with the results. The cost was relatively high, but the innumerable hours of work to reproduce the documents, builds, and photos, in my opinion, would have been much higher.

First, I got my data back. They did what they set out to do. But! Communication was difficult with the company. Maybe it was the holidays, but I paid $1,300 for recovery+drive and I would like it if someone answers the door, or has other methods of communication present.
Or when I respond to their online system to call me, I'd expect a call.
Or when their automated text says you can reply to this text, and I do, I'd expect a reply.
Or when I place in the notes that I need it shipped to a different address I'd expect that to be confirmed the first time and not take 3 different tries.
I dropped off in Pasadena CA, then I was shipped a new drive from Canada I don't know how that worked out but it didn't make me feel very comfortable about the process.

I was frustrated and anxious about the recovery process and their communication did not help that _at all_. But they did recover the data, but I'm not sure if I would use them again. YMMV

It took about 3~4 weeks for diagnosis after shipping. Charged me $ 17500 for their R&D and recovery which might take additional at least 2 weeks. I couldn't wait anymore and asked them to return my hard drive. Then they suggested $ 12500 of discount. I just asked them to return. The returning procedure took about two weeks. No, actually I am still waiting for cables which they forgot to ship. They said free diagnosis if they cannot fix it, but that's not for my case. The hard drive was poorly assembled after their diagnosis. I suspect that they are professional company.

I was taken advantage of by this company and was ghosted in the end. No where on their website was it stated that there is a $200 non refundable diagnostic fee. I paid the initial non refundable fee of $95, and was charged $200 because "a cracked label would make the job harder for them when the time came to extract the data." They quoted me how much it would be to extract and I ended up going with another company because they were just too expensive. I asked again for my $200 back because they wouldn't be doing any data extraction, but they refused. When I asked them to show me this policy that states that there is a non refundable fee, they stopped emailing me all together. Overall terrible customer service and deceptive/shady business practice.

Service is very efficient. The diagnosis was quick and I was well informed of the status, they provided update of the process on their website and I also get notifications on my email. After authorizing the recovery process, they were able to recover all my data back. Thank you very much!
