Kevin is the best! He has a few options for steel building providers, so he can best meet your needs/budget. I went with American Steel Carports and I couldn't be happier! The thing thing is, you can call some 800 number and get some guy to give you a quote but what you get with Kevin is someone who will be there from start to finish. If there is a problem, he is your go between guy, you're not just on your own. He doesn't just make the sale and then disappear. We remained in constant contact during the entire process until the building was finished. He showed up a couple times while my building was being put up, he bought the guys lunch and looked over the project to make sure everything was going as it should. I worked with him for several weeks getting my design correct. He's ultra patient and is not worried about any deadlines or anything, he's also not worried about his commission, he just wants you to have a building that you're going to love and that you're going to be happy with. Honestly, I've never worked with a sales rep like him before! I just can't say enough good things about it! Give him a call you won't be disappointed. As far as my building particulars, I went with a 30x40 with a 12x12 main door and a man door on the front. On the back side I went with a 10x10 door. I built my own Barn doors, was really simple and probably only cost me $400 to $500 for building materials and the paint etc. My building had to be built to a 90 snow load because of where I live! I also went with vertical siding. When you do vertical siding with American Steel they put three rows of girts all the way across, they don't use roofing hat channels to link all the verticals together. Anyway it makes for an extremely strong building, mine doesn't even creak in the wind! I highly recommend vertical siding! It makes your building so much stronger. I also did the insulation which is a thermal foam insulation which is around a quarter inch thick. It's very effective for taking the chill off, the building heats up quickly with my propane heater and I have a wood stove that I'll have installed before next winter. Also the installers were excellent! They were running chalk lines and string lines, measuring everything, using levels everywhere. They did an excellent job. I love the building and you won't be disappointed if you work with Kevin!
