With family history of ALZ I was grateful that my physician referred me to Summit Research to be a part of a study a new IV medication to combat ALZ. Throughout the infusion process I have felt well cared for and supported at all times. I’m glad to be a part of this new pathway to beating ALZ.

After a brief interview over the phone a visit was scheduled for me. I went for my appointment and met with a Doctor. A few minutes into it she informed me I did not qualify for the Depression study because I did not score enough points in the Insomnia category. Okay I have depression, serious real depression, with many, but not all of the symptoms. And there are times when I do experience insomnia, just not that many in the last seven days, which she said is what they look at. Apparently my daily overwhelming sadness, hopelessness, despair, excessive worry, difficulty with thinking and loss of motivation are not enough to qualify for the study. In other words, my depression, which has robbed me of quality of life, is not enough to qualify for a "Depression" study.

It was okay. I am sure they help people out. I just had one phone call. At least they let you know, if you qualify for a study. In a timely manner.

Do not go here unless you want to trust people who could care less about your wellbeing WITH your wellbeing, and perhaps even your life itself.

These people are here to do a job FOR BIG PHARM. Do you not make the mistake of believing they care ONE BIT about your well-being.

Even the MD's will waste your time asking and re-asking every question you already filled out on the form as if you were a five-year-old child.

Then you begin to wonder what you've gotten yourself into. They spend an hour asking and re-asking every question that you already answered with little to no empathy for your answers besides.

Many MD's went to school for the money - not because they cared one bit about healing / helping people. You will find these types working at research places like this where they get a paycheck without really helping anyone or caring about the people who apply to get into these studies. Often people who cannot get health insurance or medicine any other way.

No place to park- went for 9:30 appointment and there was not one space in the public 2hr parking lot. All other parking locations are by permit only or reserved. Very frustrating and this is in an industrial area so quite far from any on-street neighborhood parking. After searching for 30 minutes I left and abandoned appointment.
