Alaskans are so amazingly friendly and kind. The young lady greeted me and offered her help and guidance immediately. She pointed me to great brochures and information to make our day in Seward a great one.
What a beautiful town and the mural project had us all in awe. I hope to return one day to also take trips into the fjords and go hiking. Perhaps even a dog sled ride. Now that would be the ultimate adventure.

National Park Visitor center was closed with a sign to come to Visitor Center to get NP stamp. Sign at Visitor Center said they closed early but when we tried to get their attention to get a stamp, they ignored us and ducked out the back door to avoid us.

Wow what to say. if I was able to give minus zero numbers on their review I sure will do that. We stopped to get some information about the town and figure out what’s going to happen on Fourth of July celebration. We heard this is the best place in Alaska celebrates the 4th.
We arrived it was a lady sitting in the front desk we politely wanted to ask her about places stuff to do around town she had absolutely zero tolerance to answer our question ,she was very rude ,very short in her answers like we literally interrupting her day and she was stopping and looking on the clock because she had another half hour to be there. We felt very uncomfortable . We pick up a few brochures by ourselves and left with that and there’s a few couples got to in and also wanted to know knowledge about the glaciers in tours around town - Again her answers was absolutely zero time to think and we saw their expression on their face was like are you really giving us this face - you are working for information center you representing town. We felt very uncomfortable and would definitely not recommend to go there. You have another few places visitor centers that you can find nicer people to get all your questions answered.
( the lady on picture- is the one who don’t care for what you have to ask )!!!!

I am brand new to Seward, AK and I needed information about local help with food until my first paycheck. The young lady who was answering the phones that day was amazing! She was very compassionate and helpful. I felt she went above and beyond to provide me with the needed information without judgment. Thank you for hiring such a kind, warm-hearted young lady!

OK, we went in for the sole purpose to give them a hard time, and they took it like a champ! The Chamber of Commerce booklet actually says "no off season". Seward in November is an "off" season! Even your mountain and glacier are closed. We were given a single piece of paper, tri-folded, to look bigger, with the businesses that are open during the winter months. Umm, better check that list twice, Santa, some of those are close too and a few don't open until January. Lol The "young man" was very helpful and took our teasing in jest. He did admit "when he was a kid" it was a lot quieter in town. He directed us to a band that was playing the next day and several other activities that were happing throughout Seward, Thanksgiving week. We did go to your Sealife Center and drove as far as we're were able to the mountain. We really do enjoy visiting Seward, even in November.
