This is 1 of the worst ELD'S I've ever used. The locations are not accurate, the wifi doesn't keep up. If you switch vehicles it will fail to recognize the vehicle( you have to do it manually ) and it still doesn't work properly. But most of all their speed limit database is so far off. Even when you drive the posted speed limit it will constantly take points away from your score. Then when you try to have it corrected they put the blame on your company saying that your company is the 1 who controls the data base. What ELD company does not control the speed limit database? Or has the option to fix their database? It also has problems when you sign out. It will say you are signed out, but the next day you have to edit your logs cause it's kept you signed in.

Stay away from this company. our 3 year contract was up and they auto renewed our contract without notifying us. they breached our signed contract and now will not respond or resolve this issue. contract termination is impossible through them and will more than likely end up in court. do not use samsara

Our 36-month contract with Samsara is currently up for renewal. Our contract states that it cannot increase more than 5% per renewal. On 9/21/24, I received an automated email from Samsara stating that our subscription would renew in 8 days, and it showed a 40% increase! That kind of price increase is absurdly excessive and not abiding by our mutually signed contract from 3 years prior. Not only that, they stagger their contracts (since we’ve added on other units since our initial contact), so they are banking on us not being able to time a move to another provider without paying for two companies' services. I have since emailed them 12 times and called them 3 times over the course of the past month, and there have been no real answers to my questions. It’s a disgrace to deal with this company during this renewal process. It seems they are trained to avoid answering questions and resolving issues, and it's just terrible.

UPDATE 10/21/24: Based on your response below just now, stating that all is good, I wouldn't say fully. I responded last Wed 10/16/24 with "I hope that for the next renewal its not as arduous and doesn't require writing a public 1 star review on the renewal process to get attention to get this to completion. " --> and I have not received a response to that, so I can only assume that the next renewal will be just as arduous, will it?

As a driver who's company recently switched over to samsara I ha e hands on experience using their tablet and here is some of the problems it has.
1.ci4ntinually have sign out and sign back in to keep it up to date or else it will not log correctly ( drove almost an hour while it was logging On Duty)
2. Does not properly log your location. I live in Trinity Texas all it logs me as is 20 miles from Huntsville Texas(log falsification)
3. If for what ever reason the unit glitches or something..it doesn't store information that was input.
4. After only a year it quit charging..had to buy an Cconnection phone cable because the charging cord or something wouldn't charge anymore.
5. When I first came to this company we were using Omnitracs ELD....not a single problem with it that I saw it and was much happier using Omnitracs.
But the company is cutting corners and trying to save a penny and using CRAP material. I don't know they changed..but the office personnel are going crazy having to keep up with fixing drivers logs not to mention one of our drivers got written up 8 ...yes..that's EIGHT times the unit glitches and lost BOL numbers that are required to be on logs

This company is the worst. We spoke with them when we took over our current company. They told us that we could not cancel any units until the 30 days before renewal. We only needed 13 units and have 17 on our account for some reason. So we try to email them within the 30 days out from renewal. They then tell us its too late. They try to bill our card but we already had it blocked till this was resolved. They go back and bill the credit card from the previous owner. His personal card...he doesn't own the business anymore. So they actively commit credit card fraud. As I see all the negative reviews...I think we should find a class action lawyer to take up this case in addition to my lawyers who have been trying to find where to have them served for our lawsuit.

Terrible experience. I got 70 units from them and everything looks like went smoothly. Until we downsized to 50 and I ask to drop 20 units from my account. They refuse it to accept my request and they said it will have to wait until my contract expired. When I ask how long until my contract expired and they said 36 months. My agreement was for a year specifically and how I’m going to know if I can keep 70 units in my fleet for this long. BE AWARE THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY, NOT WILLING TO WORK WITH YOU ABOUT THE UNTS YOU ASSIGN TO YOUR FLEET. Look for another option with a company flexible with this matter. Carries go up and down on their fleets so this will be an issue to pay 36 months for service you not use

I have been trying to get pricing from Samsara agents for over one week now & no one has helped me. They keep sending me links to fill out that are supposed to send me to the web store, but it does not. Tech support tells me to reach out to sales & sales just continues sending that same link. Zero help. It shouldn't be hard to give someone the pricing they are requesting. I am very disappointed in this company.

This was a great startup company but has gone downhill with the staff. The software is good and the cameras are ok. But they want to force you into a renewal that is thousands of dollars for 3 years. Then they want to jack up the prices with the renewal and you can't get anyone to help you with the renewal. We were paying $48 per device per month. Their competitors are cheaper and they have better customer service. Kyle Placide is the reason we are changing companies.
