Great school.

CELL TOWER needs to be dismantled and removed OFF campus. This puts the students and severe risk of TOXIC LEVELS OF RF EXPOSURE and and effects cognitive and bodily function, including fatigue, cancer, migraines, tumors, etc .

REMOVE THE CELL TOWER.

Currently enrolled in my 3rd semsester of the plumbing program. Night school.

Instructors seem to not have any curriculum to follow. Didn’t learn anything 2nd semsester at all. Current semester is also a fail the instructor would hand us projects and not know how to do them himself. He currently just reads the code book word for word mumbling, and when he gets to something he knows he will talk about it a little. One of my instructors just gave us all the answers to the test questions and didn’t teach us a thing. Literally.

I’ve been taught the wrong way to do things I keep having to go and educate myself on the right way.

I have talked to many alumni and people who have delt with the school and we all can agree, it may have been a good school/program before but they have really fallen off. Maybe the day school is different

I told the school about my concerns just as I stated here, they said they would have someone sit in class to see, never did (two weeks ago reported). Big fail.

A lot of plumbing places require ranken I don’t get it. You are paying 100 a hour to be at school and I would say at least half the time is wasted. Not worth it. Of course if it’s required by your employer go, if not don’t waste your time and money.

I don't know why there are so many negative reviews. I see people with negative reviews because they don't know how some of the programs work. All they have to do is ask and advocate for themselves and the staff will help you.. This place is great! Great security, great programs, excellent teachers. I definitely believe that Ranken is one of the best technical schools in Missouri. Thank you Ranken for your outstanding education!

If you are reading this review then you happen to be wondering if you should go to this school or not, before I answer that read through the others and see the common theme of automotive and IT being the only decent reviews. The explanation for that is those two are their only programs that they invest in , automotive gets sponsored so they get brand new things all the time must be nice to have 30 motors just sitting there for fun inside a nice big shop with everything they need, if they took the time to promote their dying programs they could afford to fix the 10 machines out of the 20 in the machining department that are broken. Oh wait but they can afford it because they get people that send them money every year as a tax write off they have hundreds of thousands of dollars sitting there if not millions but they won’t spend it on the parts of the school that need it only the ones that they feel will keep their sad school alive. They don’t hire real teachers just people looking for another way to make money so as far as the “ I don’t really need this job” attitude goes that applies to just about every teacher there. If you have an issue with a teacher not showing up to class 8 days out of your semester don’t expect the required 50 dollars a day refund because remember they are too cheap to give back money they just want to take it. At the end of the day if you want my opinion, Do not waste your time , Do not waste your money, You will not get 60k a year when you leave this school like another review mentions. Just go somewhere that cares about their students.

Went for Computer science and came out with associates and a few certifications. Highly recommend it for the kids who don't want to work at Mcdonald's but don't want to go to a four-year school either. I enjoyed every day of it and when I went they prioritized my major and other subjects like math and English were shorter classes but were still needed for the degree.

I graduated from Ranken several years ago and I can honestly say, this Technical college has to be one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made In furthering my education. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to attend this college. You won't find gratification when attending school here, you'll take 24 credit hours a semester like I did earning an associates degree that won't help you on the outside. Just so you know, a full time student is 12 credit hours a semester. If you want to work in a trade, the trade will teach you everything you need to know free with a small commitment, or you'll pay back for the education you received if not completing their terms. So, save your money and go elsewhere. This trade school isn't worth attending. A Union will already give you the tools you need to become sucessful.

PSA You’re overpaying for what you get here.. just go get an entry level job in a shop somewhere and work your way up. Or community college

The only reason I’m not too upset is because I networked my way into a better career field than what I went to school for.

Thanks for the 40k in tuition debt for a mediocre education. Bout time for this place to close up shop anyways…
