Really enjoyed the tour and the anechoic chamber. Although the reverb room was maybe even more fun! Nice people and chill atmosphere, if you're interested in the work they do here definitely worth checking it out

The staff involved in running this place are excellent. The anechoic chamber was surprisingly therapeutic. The chamber lacks the external stimulation that burns out your awareness in day-to-day life. Meditation has never worked for me, my hypervigilance of every little thing feels impossible to turn off. The anechoic chamber is like taking 40ish minutes away from everything.

For those who read the "creepy" rumors online that were circulating some time ago- the ones about people going ~insaaaane~ from the sound of nothing, rest assured.
The staff who work this place are incredibly pleasant and down-to-earth. They take the time to talk you through what to expect, and show you how easy it is to enter/exit the chamber. They do everything possible to educate and mitigate any fear or hesitation about the chamber. The chamber is small, dark, and a nice ambient temperature. It's impossible to feel claustrophobic when you know you are welcome to open the door and step out at any time that you need to.
Additionally, you don't really hear any scary/disturbing sounds. The things you hear feel familiar, like little sounds you go hearing your whole life, but ignore in favor of more pressing matters.

This is a unique, educational, and therapeutic place.

EXCELLENT TOUR! Do not miss! This tour was so interesting from start to finish. Not only was it full of interesting historical tidbits but also the science behind sound in all kinds of industries. It was also immersive and interactive. Just a hands down a do not miss in MN!

I drove 13+ hours straight just to go on a tour & it was entirely worth it. A must for music history lovers. The world's quietest room was the icing on the cake.
