Terrible ! Drove over an hour in Washington Beltway traffic to enroll in The Covid vaccine study, waited 2 hours after arriving before my 1 PM appointment time and then told that "time had run out" to enroll anyone else !!!! This was after being told over the phone at 7 PM the day before that I was prescreened and pre-qualified. I had explained to them that I had to cancel another appointment in order to get to their appointment and did not want to make the long trip there for nothing if I was not going to be able to participate !!! They did not return my phone call from 2 days before and they did not compensate me for the long drive or gas for the car, long wait, lack of proper communication, sitting in a waiting room for 2 hours with people taking off their masks to eat. Very unprofessional !

Have been to Optimal Research four times as part of a Covid study. I have participated in many studies at NIH, and research universities, and have never experienced anything like the way they think nothing of taking advantage of and wasting your time. First visit, after having confirmed my scheduled appointment by phone and email the previous day, when I arrived I was told they were over booked for that day and asked me to reschedule. Next visit was meant to last 4 hours. I was there for 7.5! Third visit was not as long but my lab results couldn't be found, so I had to return for an additional visit that week, making my previous visit uncompensated. Each visit had at least an hour wait in the waiting room before being seen. I would not recommend participating in studies at this location. There seem to be systematic inefficiencies and disorganization. Go to Johns Hopkins, or anywhere else!

There may be a wait before you're seen so just be prepared to occupy yourself and set aside an extra 30-60 minutes to the time they say to expect to be there, just in case. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Exam rooms are clean. Medical staff is professional and conscientious. Very smooth experience!

They did not fulfill a scheduled appointment. I got transferred four times. They asked to reschedule. I said ok. Then they told me there where no appointments available. Be careful this may be a phishing scam.

I signed up for the COVID #modernavaccine trial but I left the place after I saw how bad was their sanitization. Yes they check the temperature at the entrance and mask is mandatory but how about every one is touching those same pen and clipboards. You are a medical facility and your practices should be an example setter. Sorry but I was not comfortable to do the vaccine trial there.

Staff was welcoming and professional. Front desk was courteous and efficient. Explained research study in detail and answered all questions.

Wait times have been 5 minutes to an hour.

Don’t bother calling Optimal Research, because they never answer the company phone.
If you comment to a study, don’t hold your breath waiting on your payment. I’m still waiting on my last three payments from a study I did with the company.
