I went in for a screening on a friday. I was told the study would start the following Monday. Showed up on Monday to be told I didnt pass the screening. They didnt give me any notification to not come in and also did not pick up their phones Monday morning when I tried calling. Was not compensated for my time either. Pretty inconsiderate and unprofessional.

I wouldn’t recommend my enemy goes here now! I’ve been going here for a long time but now it’s very unprofessional and unorganized. You have the director friends or family doing the studies and reacting to situations and using the “ I’m the director and can do what I want “ and threatening people money. You have them not having a study manger through out the study to break everything down so everyone who is volunteering is confused. The crossing stuff of the paperwork and writing in different times saying it’s the “coordinator “ which we should have signed new consents but didn’t! My breaking point was after today study we should have gotten $5500 they paid me 2500 and a lot of us were not paid correctly and they just kept saying wait til the end of today! It’s 5:28pm and I still have not been paid!!!!! We are volunteers and this is a business, this right here is not how you conduct business.

Overall positive experience with Novum in three studies, praising staff and food. My checkout experience Dec 23 raised concerns with a staff member (likely Portia/Paula) regarding payment efficiency and professionalism. Issues included:

* derogatory explanation about the timing of payments to another participant that was loud enough for everyone else to hear, "that it was a courtesy to participants if payment was done before close of business
* lack of clarity on when close of business was
*perceived retaliation for me asking when it was, for that I was hit with a $50 deduction. I challenged this but eventually let it go as $50 is minimal.
*Because I said $50 was not much, I faced further retaliation as my payment card was locked, not loaded by manager promptly, causing payment delay until 6:15 despite calls and assurances it would be loaded by close of business. The eventual communication was that close the business was 5 pm. The only reason I believe it was uploaded finally is because when I called at 6:10 I let the manager know that I knew of others in my study that had been paid promptly by 3 pm, so what was the issue with me?.

Initially gave a four-star review due to otherwise, widely positive experiences and eventual resolution but I was blackballed from future studies due to this event where I feel I did nothing wrong aside from speak up for myself and group participants. To be banned for questioning ethics, highlights a misalignment with company values in a pharmaceutical environment, essential for trust and participant morale.

Don't waste your time. I was given false information from the staff. Then when I did my study. I was told to leave was given a card with no payment. When I called to find out what was going on. I was given every excuse as to why I didn't receive payment. At the time of the study the staff members were cold and rude like. I wouldn't go here if to this place again.

They only need 12 females and 12 males
Their is way more males here checked in, and only 4 females checked in.
So I might be staying.
They started to let extra males go home on check in day.
The in patient up stairs is a good size to fit everybody, it’s just not extra huge. It’s enough room. It’s clean. The food so far wasn’t bad. The staff is kind. Can’t beat it.

I did a 2 day study. All the staff were friendly and professional. The time went pretty fast. It would be nice if there were more couches so everyone could sit on a couch. Also I was told they would take my clothes and give me scrubs to wear. Actually you can wear the scrubs over your clothes and you can wear sweaters. I was freezing the whole time.

Novum is the worst clinical research I’ve been to! They will have you come back and fourth don’t pay you. The priority you get doesn’t matter they’ll tell you we over booked so there’s no priority. I came from another state with priority and they had no care in the world even though I told them before and they guaranteed I’d be in WITH priority . They are really cheap!! $75 alternate and $25 for having to go home after all the screening and fair draw ? The receptionist are rude! There are few that should work here because the others you can tell they hate they job! TERRIBLE PLACE TO GO

Today I had a screening at the office. There were 2 things that were mind bogging about that clinic. The first thing, the nurse took my weight and she said that I weight 227 which is not true. I weight at the most 150 that's a big difference. Secondly, the nurse told me that I would have to have more than vials of blood drawn. What's strange is that the nurse would have to use a new needle for every vial of blood she has to draw.
