This museum is so amazing! The rest of the museum is amazing too—the collection is deceptively large and there is so much to learn about while here!

You have to go to check out the glass flowers which are unbelievably lifelike. I love the rock/gemstone room second best. They have rare and precious gems from all across the world! Aside from the gems and flowers, the Native American collection is really astounding. I learned so much about the different cultures that have been here longer than anyone. The museum is also clearly trying really hard to show their collection in an ethical way, which is still a work in progress here, but definitely go to the museum now to support that effort.

The MCZ also hosts some amazing events throughout the year which shouldn't be missed (the Summer Solstice event is really wonderful here, especially for families)!

This really is the kind of place that you can go back to again and again and still only see a fraction of their collection. It's technically 3 museums in one, so it can be an information overload if you try to take it all in at once, but I think that's a great excuse to keep coming back to support the museum.

The museum staff here are all super friendly and helpful when you need it. There are also amazing scientists working in this building and making huge discoveries every day 🙂

This is one of the most important museums in the world. Their collection is amazing and the exhibition is worthy every minute. Be sure to take a look at the glass flowers (they are amazing), and take a photograph by the tiger. I do recommend this place.

Be sure you take time for the glass flowers. They are unbelievably life-like. This exhibit might be less interesting for small children.

The public face of the MCZ is the Harvard Museum of Natural History (HMNH). In addition, the Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology is colocated. Admission allows access to both public museums.
