We were fortunate in 2016 to take a restaurant (pizza/Italian) over that had Microworks. We just opened our second location and made the investment to continue using the platform. Michael in Sales and their entire Customer Service Team is fantastic. To people that are on the fence about choosing a POS. I’ve done my fair share of research. What I would say is if you’re established and can afford the upfront investment, don’t hesitate. The customer service team is superior and based in the US. You speak to one person, and you’re done. If the budget is available for a new business, I’d ask the Sales Team for a Demo and see if it makes sense for your store to start with one terminal and add more later as the business grows. This second store has unexpected costs. Be prepared. There are cheaper and even free options, but you’ll get what you pay for, and you’ll notice features are missing from each one. It’s all about trying to automate the process and minimize manual labor error. No platform has everything, but Microworks is close.. The software is robust and pizza delivery specific. We have pizza sit downs and it is good. The online ordering is great. Their support team is prompt and knowledgeable. We are just getting ready to launch the loyalty program and are excited. We wish the back end, particularily inventory were more user friendly. As our franchise system launches we look forward to the enterprise features of Microworks.

We use Prism from Microworks at our restaurant, absolutely the best P.O.S Software for our business. Friendly local staff and software features not found in other systems. With their system you are able to take multiple order types and have a database for the customers past order and the ability to blacklist customers that do not pick up their orders. No monthly fees, not cloud based just a help desk yearly contract that I would recommend to anyone.

I can't say enough great things about this company and its POS system. We made the decision to invest in this software 14 years ago and are STILL running their POS system without any problems or monthly payments! This was the BEST business decision we could have made - anyone who is opening a new spot and in for the long haul should definitely be investing right here and avoiding those monthly payments from all those other flashy cloud based systems. We opened for business in 1999 with a much earlier version of PRISM by Microworks. In the 19 years since then we have continued to use their system going through a couple rounds of equipment replacement and software upgrades.

These guys are pros. The equipment is solid and arrives ready to plug in and go to work with all software installed and configured. Tech support is flawless.

Everything we have ever looked for the system to do has already been there. We use the fully integrated online ordering system and onboard credit card processing. Reports are complete and easy to configure if you want something special and make it possible to have transparency in costs and service levels.

Labor cost tracking and payroll is built in. Clock-in & passwords connect employees to the transactions they are involved with and control who can access what. Correlating labor costs with service levels is easy. Food cost/inventory to the menu cost level is ready to go with your menu built in when the system arrives. It is easy to edit inventory costs and add stocking items and built menu items. The system will produce an ideal food cost and allow you to track your performance relative to that ideal on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Security cameras can be integrated with the system to reference the time stamp to transaction records. The entire system can be linked to Quickbooks if that is how you track your financial records.

The system is not the least expensive out there but what you get in the ability to manage your business, control costs and upgrade into the digital marketing world make it well worth it.

Of all the companies I have done business with in 19 years this is the only one I would not even consider replacing if I were starting over from scratch.

I have interacted with many individuals at Microworks on many occasions, and I have always found them to be empathetic, knowledgeable and helpful. Some issues may take longer to sort out, but we always find resolution. The equipment is top notch and the company takes operational suggestions for software.
