This company has the monopoly in their area and the service is not great. It amazes me when companies show their customers that they do not care and yet want those same customers to refer others to them.
This company needs to do better... And I mean a lot better.

Internet has been going in and out for several months now with no solution. And when u call to complain, u r left feeling as though u r not valuable as a customer. You r told all different things when a tech is sent out, but does not resolve the problem. Mediacom need 2 fix the problem because u want your payment monthly, so we want stable internet or you going 2 lose a lot of customers since this issue is city wide.

Image this you pay for the most expensive package they have and every other day your Internet goes out. You call to get a technician to come out and see why this is happening and by the time the tech get here everything is working fine. Then as soon as they leave BOOM issues all over again. Thanks Xtream featuring Eero by Mediacom nothing like paying for making myself look crazy.

I have to restart my modem several times per month, and call every couple months when that doesn’t work so that they will restart it remotely. It’s now been out six days. Trying to get someone to come out is like hunting unicorns - a huge waste of days with nothing to show for it. I don’t like being lied to, given appointments when no one calls or shows up. Customer “service” says “I understand you’re frustrated, we are customers too and so we know”. Seriously, that is not a good sign if the employees are disgruntled customers!!
The caveat here is that they’re really my only semi-viable option. If someone were to start an even halfway decent ISP company, they’d be rolling in bank because everyone seems to have the same opinion here.

Possibly the worst internet provider I have been with. The internet connection goes out at least 2-4 times a month, with long repair times. I would recommend a different provider but currently this is the only one in the area that I know of.

This is the worst internet service I've ever had. I've had technical problems for 2 years. The first few techs sent stated problems were with the pole where my lines ran from. No repaired. The last tech that was sent out stood in the corner by the tower on her cellphone and said I had 40 ,yes she said 40 devices running off my service!!! Then I got a bill for $79.00 tech fee. I rent this equipment!! Was told it is up to the tech as to charge or not. If there was another company to go to I would. Run!!!!

Mediacom internet service is horrible. We’ve had connectivity issues off and on for 3-4 weeks. Two technicians have come to our home and provided absolutely no resolution. The first technician was clueless and even hooked another customers service to our home. Luckily my husband saw the new network pop up before the technician left. We were told we had a modem that wasn’t the best quality and it would be switched out. To our surprise the technician gave us another modem that was the same model except it was refurbished. It was no shock to us that it never resolved our problem. Second service appointment was scheduled for a Saturday. We received the automated call to be connected to the technician. The call immediately disconnected and then we received a message that the appointment had been rescheduled. This all transpired in less ten minutes but our appointment window was for a two hour timeframe. My husband had to call and assert that they needed to honor their appointment. The technician did arrive hours later but just like before he provided no resolution and told us he didn’t see a problem. After another call to customer service we are now scheduled with another service appointment. We are not optimistic that our problem will be resolved. Looking at other reviews it seems the only thing Mediacom is consistent with is providing a subpar service. Customers should not have to pay for a service they do not receive only to be met with dismissive technicians who say there is nothing wrong. If only there was another provider! I would never recommend this provider. It’s unfortunate we do not have another service provider to utilize.

My Internet went out Saturday afternoon and when I called support the automated system wouldn't let me speak to anyone. It kept saying there was an outage. After trying for 5 hours, I finally got someone on the line (a real person)! Absolutely ridiculous! I work from home and need reliable trustworthy service. Come to found out, there was NO outage in our area. At least that's what the rep said. Why is such a large company so awful at communicating CORRECT information? Wasted 5 hours for nothing, then told it would be 6 day before someone would be able to come to my home. Why are there no emergency service request? Really wish there was another, better provider in our area.
