Generally sound, logical presentation of structured research. Does it have bias? Yes. Do they have an agenda? Yes. Such is true for every human being and organization that has ever existed. Sometimes I disagree with their perspective. Most times I agree. But I appreciate their output nonetheless.

It amazes me that they pull two or three stars, even though every liberal in the country trashes them without having any idea what they write about. as an old guy I’ve been through a time when Manhattan was unlivable because of high crime. It improved dramatically as everybody knows, under Republican leadership. Lately, there are a lot of empty storefronts again. At least they have more lights now.

If liberals leaving stupid reviews would spend one minute and try to understand a conservative argument, such as looking at the $3 trillion infrastructure bill that has created 88 charging stations in two years. pick one of 1 million examples and learn. Read about the billions wasted in Covid relief.

Of course, if you pay no taxes and you feed at the public trough you can keep your opinion. I’m not going to change it.

But if you pay taxes, you should know where your money goes. That’s most of conservatism. Liberals throw in the racism just for flair. That’s the sign of a one trick pony.

Pretty much all of the comments below mention right wing and left wing. Nothing about truth or values. One should seek to find solutions and have values, not just be a lefty or righty sheep. If you have actually values, and can think in terms other than right vs left read their work and then decide for yourself

One of the few institutions in NYC that will counter the narrative from the main stream media. Articles are always well researched and supported by facts. Not surprisingly, the haters leaving 1 star reviews provide no data to support their accusations and in typical fashion resort to the use of ad hominem. If speaking the truth makes you a right winger, the Manhattan Institute is guilty as charged.

Unbelievably biased and misleading right wing organization framing itself as a "think tank" while simply pushing the same false narratives used by conservative pundits hiding behind an air of pseudo-intellectualism and a few degrees. These people are not experts and represent fringe view points in an attempt to reassert outdated ideologies.

I came across the recent interview with the Manhattan institute president. He comes across as a very serious man wishing to bring the institutes ideas to the Village Square for discussion. I find it surprising some people that are frightened by ideas that are put on the table for discussion. That’s how solutions are made, but so often in these large cities we see the proverbial tin can being kicked down the road. I’m glad to see the Manhattan Institute coming to the table with ideas that could make United States better.
