We first used Innovative in 2014 for a complete kitchen and main level remodel. Clark and his team produced a fantastic result, so much so that in 2024 when we had unexpected flooding, we again reached out to Innovative once the water mitigation was finished. Clark facilitated the early stages of quoting the job, then the incredibly capable and reassuring Chris Rodriguez acted as our PM. Due to the unusual circumstances and scope of the damage, we had other subs involved. The Innovative crew by far were the most on time, detail oriented and problem solving folks we worked with, especially the painters (I wish I knew their names!) and carpenters (Mark and Diego, very high quality work). They got the work done in record time and alerted us to any questions, concerns or unexpected findings along the way, no cutting corners. They also have a carpentry assistant, William, who took great care to protect unaffected areas of our house from dust and construction debris. You definitely get what you pay for and I would 100% use Innovative again.

March 1, 2024: This was our second project with Innovative Design-Build. After our first experience we didn’t need to decide who was going to do the project, we went straight to Innovative. This project involved preparing our master bath for “the aging process” as we expect this to be our home for the rest of our lives.

Once again, we met first with Meghan, Innovative’s project developer. She’s so much more than that, more like a friend and confidante. We talked about our needs, and our desire to have a bathroom that was functional, safe, and beautiful. As we discussed the project it became clear that we needed to focus on both the bathroom and the master bedroom.

From there Innovative took on the design task. Cassie and Sabrina came to our house to take measurements using a variety of 21st century looking tools to ensure that they had every detail about the space when they took up their design work. They then presented several design ideas for the layout of the new bathroom, including two features that were high on our list – a zero entry shower and a two-tiered vanity that could be accessed while either standing or sitting.

After we agreed on the general layout Cassie and Sabrina went to work on preparing options for the flooring and shower tile, countertops, sinks, and fixtures, while incorporating Meghan’s idea of “ADA light” throughout in a way that was decorative rather than institutional. When we came for our design meeting at Innovative’s beautiful showroom (It looks like a typical construction office when you drive up, but once you go inside, you get a clear sense of Innovative’ s potential) they had 3 or more options for everything that would be part of the project. We came away from that meeting with all design choices made and signed the construction contract shortly thereafter.

It was about 10 weeks from signing the agreement to the beginning of construction. Diego Hernandez was assigned as our Project Manager. Such a great guy. Early in the project when it appeared we had no hot water in the house on a Saturday morning I emailed him, just to let him know what was happening so that he could attend to it on Monday. He was at the house to address the problem in less than an hour.

Diego’s construction timeline that we reviewed called for 65 days. The project, with several change orders we initiated, was completed in 63. Three staff from Innovative were on site during the project. Justin was there nearly every day, while Isaias and Diego Sr. were also there when additional manpower was needed. Innovative used sub-contractors for plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting, tile and cabinetry. Everyone came on time, on schedule, and delivered quality work.

The work zone was sealed off from the rest of the house. The work area was cleaned and vacuumed at the end of each day. When workmen need to access the basement, their route of travel was covered to ensure they didn’t track anything in. They even covered the floor in our unfinished basement!

While everyone did a great job, we want to recognize Justin Garcia for his work. He became pretty much a member of the family. The dog and cat were his buddies. He always announced his arrival and departure. He was Diego’s stand in when Diego took some time off. When folks dropped off sandwiches for a volunteer project we participate in, Justin would bring the sandwiches in the house and pop them in the refrigerator. Almost every text from him was accompanied by pictures of what he was talking about.

Here’s the bottom line. You won’t get a better renovation experience than what you get with Innovative. These folks are professional, and their work product is exceptional. My wife and I now say when we walk in our home that we can turn right into the master suite and it’s like being in a brand-new house. My guess is that one day Innovative will make it so that we feel the same way when we turn left! Thanks Innovative!

We were introduced to Innovation Design + Build through a referral from family friends. When someone says the often rare phrase "WE LOVE OUR CONTRACTOR", you have follow up. We had a very challenging basement project which required intense structural, plumbing, electrical, framing and design work. From the beginning with the sales team (shout out to Meghan!) and design team, and throughout the entire project execution phase, we were incredibly happy. Trevor and Chris and the entire build team was highly organized and communicated incredibly well. The calendar was orchestrated expertly, with minimal delays with subs. The job site was spotless at the end of each day. As all projects always have surprises, they were managed with fantastic leadership, with a focus on solving the problem quickly and inexpensively. The entire project ended 2 full weeks early, and on budget. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed!

We hired Innovative Construction to finish our basement after hearing about the great work they had done for some friends and people that I work with. Clark, Eric, and team came out and did a fantastic job from the beginning as we worked through the plans to final touch up. Additionally, they were quick to jump in to help while we had some flooding on the 2nd floor unrelated to their work and repaired this as well. Eric was our day to day project manager. He did a fantastic job. As I have learned on home construction and renovations and I think Eric also actually said it to me in the beginning of the project: Every project is going to have problems, is what makes a great group to work with is how they deal with those problems. Innovative is a great group. Additionally, I have to also thank Mark for his exceptional work and his attention to detail. We had a number of things that were challenges thanks to the original builder of the house and Mark did an exceptional job every single time.

I can’t recommend the Innovative Construction team enough. If I ever have another construction project, they are my go to partner.

Always confident in a job well done when we have used Innovative Construction 3 times previously. This time we did a complete kitchen remodel. You get what you pay for, and for us they are worth every penny. Clark and his team of craftsmen and designers helped pull it all together seamlessly in 6 weeks! Of course we had been working on the plan for over a year and ordered appliances early. They showed up each morning on time, cleaned up nicely each day,. Using their app for communication was efficient and they answered back promptly to any questions . They fix any problem and want a satisfied customer. Their "after project completion follow" - up is admirable. We highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again.

Clark and his crew are exceptionally good! Contractors are known for not being great with customer service, but Innovative is the exception. They are very good about communication, showing up on time, and guaranteeing their work. I have used them for two very major renovations and several mini projects as well as handyman work. They treat all my projects with the same love and care! I highly recommend them!!

Our small bathroom in our 100 year-old Candler Park house needed a complete remodel after only one partial job by another firm about 30 years ago. Aside from the bathroom remodel, we had Innovative convert a basement stairwell into a narrow, but very functional laundry room with a stacked W/D unit. Innovative provided comprehensive services, including planning, design, construction and consultation with us throughout each phase of its successful remodel effort. On top of quality work and materials and fixtures, Innovative carefully coordinated its crew's efforts. Just as importantly, Innovative's on-site construction manager always gladly conferred with us about each of our concerns. Each issue we raised received prompt and decisive attention, thus avoiding any confusion about how and when our concerns would be considered and resolved. We love our new bathroom and convenience of the nearby laundry room.
