Nestled into the ally between the new Marc San Marcos apartments and Palomar Station apartments is Innovation Park. When we first pulled up I thought maybe it was restricted to the surrounding residents but it wasn’t gated and is listed as a public park in San Marco’s parks and recreation list. It was small so we didn’t spend a whole lot of time here but my son found the fun in running under the man-made rock arches and watching the teams play pickle ball.

I live in the apartment complex directly facing innovation park. I can not stand it. Pickleball players come before designated times to line up with no regard to the people living in the area.

They also stay much later than when it is supposed to be locked. I have even heard heard a GROWN MAN say, "just 15 more minutes", like a child begging for more time on a swing.

Residents at each complex are putting together a petition to change court hours because it is so out of control. Who needs to blast music while playing pickleball?

I have no idea why their is even a park between where people live.

However, the parents who visit the park with their kids are great. Respectful, kind and pick up after themselves.

There is 2 hour street parking. Playground is behind the pickleball courts. Playground is perfect for littles 5 and under. Clean and a few benches to sit on.
