Very nice institute. almost 80% are bengali. They are mainly doing work in mathematics and physics. Faculties, Phd Scholars and Post Doc Fellows are very helpful. The food is very good. The atmosphere is so calm. One interesting thing is there is a black board in almost every important place. Canteen, pantry, guest house even in kalidas point also!

Keeping aside the complaint of being away from even Google maps' reach, this is the closest to nature any Indian research institute has gone so far. Also, it's hard to express how beautiful it is to spend some time among the greatest minds in India.

One of the topmost research institute in India,comparable to TIFR,IISc etc.Library facility is outstanding,ambience is helpful for researchers.Math department is very strong due to have famous number theorists.QIC Group of HRI is also very reached department.Dirac awardee Ashoke Sen is eminent professor of Physics Department.

Nice infrastructure and campus well maintained situated in the lap of nature . Friendly staffs and teachers . Best research institute of north India but it doesn't have better connectivity of transportation .I had been here for an interview and had a nice time but had to walk in 3 kms . It has a good research environment .

The campus is very good. It's peaceful and calm.there are many tress.perfect for research purpose .security is quite good.but the location is not so good. It's bit far from Allahabad main city. though they have bus service from campus to civil lines but otherwise route autos are available from jhusi auto stand.
