Short and sweet. It was short enough the kids weren’t bored ,but had a lot of neat and interesting things to learn which kept the kids attention. Free admission / they do accept donations .It was a great place and the employee of the place was very knowledgeable and told us a lot of cool fun facts. Definitely recommend. It doesn’t take long to walk through and it give you something to do for a few minutes , my family and I really enjoyed it.

Stop here for in-depth information about Grand Saline and the history of salt and the local area. Kay was my friendly guide. Her knowledge about salt & activities in Grand Saline was impressive.
The building is small, but packed with history, memories, and highlights of the Grand Saline community.

We stopped a couple of weeks ago and had the opportunity to hear the curator's presentation of the history of Grand saline, and the salt palace. We enjoyed it so much we went back a second time on the same day and invited others to share the experience.

A super educational visit. The lady was very informative and educated on the museum and Grand saline history. Learned quite a bit from our visit. The building itself is made out of salt bricks which is a reason to stop on itself. Free museum, reasonably priced souvenirs, history lesson made this stop a well worth venture. The fact it has a penny press machine is another bonus.

This is the Morton Salt Manufacturer and it is very interesting to see the salt come out on the trucks. You can not do a tour or visit this plant it is only for the workers.

Walls of salt. Well worth the stop. The salt dome is projected to have many thousands of years of salt supply.

It was very small but very informative. The lady there was very kind and loved talking about the museum. I was also given a free salt and pepper thing with my purchase of postcards. I paid $6 for 6 of them.
