We loved Gingr the first 3 years we used them, but these last few months have been a nightmare! We never know which functions will not be working on a daily basis. Every time we chat in for customer support we are told “that’s impossible” or “we can’t replicate that”. Recently our customer communications have shown as sent, delivered and opened while they have in fact received nothing! Gingr is such a headache and we have not been waiting for 3 months for resolutions to several issues. It’s been over a week since we have even gotten a response. If you’re looking for a software system to function correctly or at least fix issues when they happen, this one isn’t for you!

We've been using Gingr for the past year.

The good: It covers nearly everything you need it to.

The bad: The app is unintuitive and difficult to use. Years of adding features feel disorganized, as if they were mostly afterthoughts.

The only reason we're continuing to use Gingr is because of their exceptional support. Every support representative is quick, knowledgeable, and friendly.

It seems like Gingr recognizes how cumbersome their app has become over the years, and they compensate for it by providing outstanding support.

We have been using this service for the past couple of months and for the most part it's working ok. The customer service is absolutely horrible! I can't get a hold of anyone EVER when I call, it says to leave a message and yet no one ever calls you back. You have to wait FOREVER to get someone on the chat. They have no problem charging your bank account every month, however. I think they need to hire some better customer service reps or we are going to look for a different platform to run our business. If I were you I'd definitely look around to see if there is anything else that works better than this one.

Used to work great but recently several of their features have been malfunctioning, client communications are going out incorrectly or not at all, and the customer service has been ATROCIOUS. Have been waiting on resolutions to basic issues for weeks! Currently seeking another option because this program has tanked. Do yourself a favor and start up with something else as it is a pain to switch once you're invested!

Although I'm very impressed with what gingr offers, I'm also very disappointed that gingr doesn't allow clients to submit change or cancellation requests. This allows for so many humane errors not offering a tracking system to track changes requested to services sick as change dates and times, and it doesn't allow for charging cancellation fees. And as a business if you offer prepaid packages they can only purchase with a credit card, my business only operates by EMT's only. I only found this out 2.5 months into signing up and getting the app set up. Very disappointing. I will be canceling for sure. Obviously this app works for alot of clients but unfortunately not for Pet Pawsitive.

I have to use this app to book my dog into daycare. It is unintuitive and clunky. For example when you try to make a booking you have to continually scroll down the page to fill in various details like date, services and notes. A good app would take you there directly. Very clunky.
Secondly, trying to make multiple bookings is a nightmare which would take me several paragraphs to explain. I note that you have replied to a current user that you would "walk through" the booking procedure. You shouldn't have to do that it should be intuitive, not complicated or difficult.
When I finally finally managed to make multiple bookings the page where I could view my booking dates is buried in the app and not easy to find. And the worst part of the whole shambles is that the bookings are listed in random order. They should be in chronological order for easy customer access.
Gingr is a frustraing non-intuitive tool to use which cause so much confusion for users and a lot of work for the daycare businesses dealing with missed bookings and frustrated customers.
Fix it and take down the bogus 5 star reviews.

Ging'r was a great company acquired by a larger investment firm. Since the acquisition, customer service and continued development and improvement of the software has stalled while prices increase. The software itself is now dated, and doesn't easily integrate with CRM systems, etc. This company could be great if it continued to update with the latest technology. Overall I'm happy to have most of what I need, integrated into one software program, but I wish the user interface was more intuitive, less clicks, and showed relevant information. A client focus group of high volume users would serve Ging'r very well. As soon as Goose software has a more robust grooming platform, I plan to move my multi location pet care facilities away from Ging'r.

We are 3.5 years in business and Gingr has been the backbone of our facility. Highly customizable so you have to take an active role in learning the software to take full advantage of its features so you can taylor to your needs.
