It took more than a month from diagnosis to repair of my generator with no correspondence except emailed invoices to be paid. It took me calling to be told that they would install the following week. Day of repair, techs (3) went to the wrong house and started the repair on neighbor's unit. I happened to have been home & questioned this. Told that GPS told him that was the house. They did not look at the house number prior to starting work on the wrong unit. If I had not be home, the neighbor would have had a new part installed and mine would still not be working and I would have paid for the neighbor having a working part replaced. I'm sure the tech did not relay this info to management. Not pleased! Glad that I was home!

We greatly appreciate the service provided to maintain our generator. Although we are not on site it is very comforting to know that our Generac is maintained well each year (thank you Holly) and provides us that high level of confidence that our home systems are working properly. The communications from FLPS (Tara) is first class- alerting us ahead of time that our service is due and keeping us posted on the progress of the work each step of the way. Again, very comforting! Thank you!!

Granted, Dan and the installation team are fantastic and very professional. Everything else in between is insane and absolutely unprofessional. First, I ran into a situation where I needed to have an EV charging station uninstalled after that had installed the unit in 2024. Let me be clear: the charger itself was purchased by me from Tesla. In no way shape or form was it the original property of Finger Lakes Power Systems. I sent the inquiry about an uninstall back in February. It took weeks for anyone to respond until I had to send a follow up email asking. I never received a quote asking for my approval BEFORE service was performed so I didn't know what the cost was until AFTER the service. In addition, I was told that service for the uninstall would take place until THE DAY OF service! After the service of the uninstallation took place they took my charger (my personal property) and used it as COLLATERAL for payment! It was never discussed or agreed that someone would take my property in collateral for payment. There argument is that "they were never told that they were to leave it"....IT'S NOT YOUR PROPERTY! They also didn't like that I said Yates County Sheriff would be getting involved if I did not receive my charger. This is probably the most unprofessional and most insane situation I have ever experienced and still at a complete loss of words.

Jon was here on time. I met him as he got out of his truck to let him know that I had an appointment, but that my wife would be home if he needed any assistance. He said something like, Wow, someone that finally came out to greet me on a service call" He apparently finished the service and was on his way before I returned. I couldn't ask for more.

We had a great experience with Dan and Finger Lakes Power Systems! After numerous power outages in our neighborhood, my family and I knew we needed a backup generator before the winter. Dan and his team were extremely professional and when there was an unexpected snag, Dan and his team fixed it right away. The price for the work was fair and now my family and I have the peace of mind of having a home generator.
