Lived here a long time and have watched this place go down hill so badly...SO happy that Management and staff has changed recently. I live with my family and never felt safe enough to leave my room after 7pm due to the homeless and drug addicts that lived and camped in and around the building. NOT ANYMORE, this place is so quiet, the new staff has worked hard cleaning,renovating and making this place a safer more enjoyable place to live.still more room for improvements but in such a short time things are looking so much better. Thanks to miss Monica with her hard work and and her amazing staff.

On the site we were told we were getting a one bedroom. The room actually had a living room and another room that had a bed in it. There are no private doors for separation or privacy. The stove was not working properly however the maintenance guy was very nice and was able to replace the burners on the stove top. The stove has no oven so forget about baking a pizza or cake.

The facility has no swimming pool or fitness center as indicated on multiple websites so forget about those plans if you come here. None of the select extended Stay or stay America facilities select offer any type of complementary breakfast or snack snacks.

If you plan on using the phone that is in the room, wish the one in our room did not work for some reason. Keep in mind that for any outside calls you make from the room phone you would be charged one dollar for each call going out of the building. I suppose there is no charge to call the front desk but I wouldn’t know for sure considering the phone in our room did not work.
You are also responsible for taking out your own trash to the back of the building and if you leave trash outside of your door, you’ll be charged $25 for each time that is done. Don’t do it! On the website, it also tells you that the facility is 24 hours which it is not. The main lobby closes at about 11:00 PM and after midnight, no one will be at the front desk so don’t think about checking in after 11 PM because at midnight there will be a night audit and they will not be accepting any more check ins after midnight. There is also no seating area in the main lobby. No chairs, couches or even a bench to sit. No eating area either.

I gave the staff five stars because they were great in providing the customer service they had the ability to provide I understand the staff does not own the property and they can only do so much while the rest falls on the ownership of the property. The staff themselves were great, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They were even able to refer us to another property which was very helpful. This property has a 5 Star staff and I wish them all well but the building was not what was expected. The building also has a barbecue and picnic courtyard area That used to be a pool area. Be advised that there is only one way in and one way out of this Courtyard area, which could be a major fire hazard. There is a chain on the gate that blocks anyone from Entering or exiting from the other side.

The location was fine and there are some places to eat, dine-in and carry out eateries nearby. It’s also near the Freeway entrance and exit. There is a grocery store about 2 to 3 blocks away also.

The new General Manger Monica is amazing!!! Since she took over , things have turned around drastically. She has hired some amazing staff. Nicki is fantastic, she is always happy to help and has gone above and beyond to help and make my stay more comfortable. The whole hotel is getting a make over and total remodeled. Of course there are going to be some dust or a little inconvenience with noise. But it’s for the better. The construction work is very minor. Never early in the morning or late at night. They got rid of people who were causing problems for staff and other guests. And of course they are going to leave bad reviews. This place is going to be great when they are done. Once again please give this place a chance, Monica the general manager is amazing. Can’t praise her enough.

This was a lovely and wallet friendly place to stay after a long day of adventuring around north Austin. The management and staff were a pleasure to deal with. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I am confused as to the business philosophy of this Extended Stay Hotel. The website showed pictures which give one pause to stay there. In my situation LOCATION was the coveted option for choosing.
Why would the room be void of waste paper cand/basket. I did not flush the refuge but left it for the housekeeper to pick up.
There were no hand towels. What does management feel they are saving by bath towels and wash clothes only?
Thus is the second "bargain" hotel that 86'ed the complimentary shampoo in the shower and no hairdryer for after. So, maybe this is now common practice.

Notice such a huge change and safety cleanliness and comfortability. She has changed this place for the better in so many ways. Our circumstances are not unlike many others. It's a hard time for us, financially and other wise and the last thing I want to question or worry about is the place we call home. Although it may be temporary it's still our home for now. Monica, Taylor, Isaiah and all the others feel like an extended family. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay for any length of time.

I’ve stayed at many nearby hotels, including other Extended Stays and ended up continuing to only stay at this location after my first week. The WiFi is exceptional, I never hear noises from other rooms (even adjacent) which is great for work/studying, and it’s both easy and quick to get anywhere in North Austin or downtown. Monica is amazing and she’ll take care of you!

Definitely recommend!
