This place is insane. Traditional comfort food. I had the patty melt. It was perfect. Fries were just crispy enough and spot on. The interior is beautiful.

The new management is very nice. Very nice people and the new restaurant LOOKS amazing. However, the *food* itself is nasty. I'm so sorry. I wanted to love it because my mom shared such good stories and memories about the old location.

This chicken is not fried chicken. It's shake'n'bake at best. The green beans were plain as hell. No salt, not marinated and cooked with Hamhocks or bacon. Taste like they just heated it out of the can. This good was not "made with love" as Black people practice.
The man n cheese is on but not what I expected as a Black American who knows what soul food should really taste like.
I might come back and try the dessert but this is not soul food =\

I’ve been eating at Dinah’s my whole life and this is the worst club sandwich I’ve ever gotten- the bread is tiny and there’s almost no turkey at all. I don’t eat ham so I order extra turkey- for $20 this is an absolute joke. Will definitely be rethinking giving my business to them especially after this move.

You MUST try this place, the fried chicken is amazing, super crispy and still juicy! The banana bread, rolls, onion rings, green beans and broccoli were all great. I can't wait to go again, been waiting for the restaurant to reopen and it's finally happened. See if you can find Sam or Jazmin to wait on you, they will make sure you are taken care of and have a great meal!

Freakin YUMMY home style fried chicken dinner! I got chicken, mashed potatoes, green salad, and it comes with bread. The portions are HUGE. If you’re in Culver City you have to stop here. I was on a business trip and was trying a bunch of different restaurants.. this makes my top 3 for the area. 😁

Food was terrible and burnt. Party music blasting at 9am. Couldn’t tell if the trashbags hanging over the booths were ugly Halloween decorations or meant to provide shade for a poorly planned restaurant. Felt like I was at a dying sports bar without the sports.

I would say Dinah’s is in my top three favorite diners in all of Los Angeles. The others being Pann’s and Pacific Diner. It’s been open since the 1970s, so is quite famous around town. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and every time I have been the food is terrific. Our server was very quick and attentive and they were very fast with the drink refills. We ordered iced teas (which is home brewed and very good), and they even brought an extra pitcher and left at the table. The coffee is strong and they really have a ton of great options on the menu. There is a giant free parking lot attached so finding a parking space will not be an issue. Inside is very large with a lot of different seating options from booths to tables to counter seating. Just as I would hope the inside looks like a traditional 50s diner and really is a great throwback to classic Los Angeles.

The menu is very large and it has a lot of great options so it was very hard to choose what we wanted to eat. We ended up starting with a Cinnamon Roll because we saw them as we entered the restaurant and it was gooey and sweet and wonderful. It’s huge and covered in frosting and we both really enjoyed it. We ended up ordering the German Pancake , or as it is also known: The Dutch Baby. It was honestly really great, and was better than a lot of the other versions I’ve had of it. I decided to order a side of over easy eggs and put them in the middle of the pancake, which I would really suggest.

Overall a delicious diner with fair pricing and large portions and free parking. I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a solid casual dining option.

This review is for the new Dinah's Kitchen on 4130 W. Sepulveda which opened on May 8... I LOVED my fried chicken dinner so much I forgot to take a picture! Perfectly crisp outside, and tender, juicy chicken inside, and not greasy... The staff is super nice and friendly... plenty of room inside with patio seating, too. They are also planning to open a bakery here with pies, breads and delectables to go. We returned again this morning for breakfast!
