First of all: DON’T BREAK A PASTA BOWL. (I broke mine by trying to speed up the drying process by putting it upside down over a stove burner). I got the eye-catching, yet funky and charming one at the same time. A replacement is not available in just any store. Most stores that do have one sell them well in triple digits. That “funky one” was comfortably in DOUBLE digits. Over that, both staff members were very polite smiley calm ladies who saw me as a chill recreational shopper. They certainly didn’t care about scoring sales numbers points with their bosses, but they certainly scored points with me. Yep, you just read a raving review, thus implying recommendation, from me about my wonderful experience at Crate & Barrel. In the picture, I bought that “functionally springy” towel at Target for stacking perfectly round bowls inside of it. That’s what I would recommend for stacking that odd “bowl.”

Great selection of affordable tableware (plates, cups, flatware, etc). Lots of name brand small kitchen appliances. A good substitute for some I used to shop at BB&B for. Helpful staff.

Best organization of all the Crate & Barrel in the bay area. Was in the Walnut Creek one today. This location has clearly grouped sections and well labelled inventory. It's been thoughtfully organized and no need to "find" the item displayed. I also felt the staff was very helpful and friendly, even when just browsing and not imposing.

We had a blast. We were assisted by Rose and Marietta and had an excellent experience at Crate. They helped us choosing the right model of sofa and kitchenware and their tips were very useful. Very friendly staff there. Will go back for sure !

Love this store. Is it odd that I frequent it up to 2x a week? The sales people are so lovely and welcoming. A special shout-out and tip of the hat to Maria, the store manager. She deftly handled an incident with such professionalism and aplomb.
Crate and Barrel, if you have Manager Training, Maria should be leading these. If you do not, Maria should have a hand in creating content and rolling it out to the Managers. Her warmth, customer service and problem-solving skills makes her an invaluable part of this team.
