It's quite a long drive from Valdosta. However, I was able to make a testing slot. So I arrived, and I signed the form explaining that I could only take the contents of my head into the testing center with me. I locked my purse and accoutrements in a relatively secure locker, and was electronically checked in, seated, and the test began.

The proctor was helpful and efficient, Al's very warm and friendly. The place is quiet, clean, and pleasant. My sole "Could have been better" had to do with the desk chair, which was set for a person taller than I.

I would never test here again if I had another option. Very unprofessional experience. The surly woman was a mask Karen and decided that the cloth mask I had brought wasn't thick enough so she forced me to wear a surgical mask. Let's make it as difficult to breathe as possible while you take your high-stakes test. When I asked if she could provide me a copy of their mask requirements, she muttered something about the CDC blah blah blah, which is because my mask fit anyone's guidelines but she singled it out arbitrarily. If you're going to have a mask policy, spell it out, don't leave it to the whims of underpaid staffers.
