Had a great time at the Japanese garden there. The path is circular so you can’t really get lost at the Japanese garden. There were a lot of benches where you can sit down. Would definitely love to come in the cooler seasons though. There’s also parking at the place so that’s nice. I thought the $12 admission was very fair.

I went on a field trip with my son’s class. The people there are so sweet and understanding of how little ones can be. The lady that worked with us was so patient and nice. She did an amazing job with the kids. She read a fun book to them and spoke to them about plants and insects. We took a walk out in the garden and she talked abt a few of the flowers showing them things they would find interesting. They even got to look through microscopes and use tweezers to separate leaves, stems, buds and categorize them. There was another room with stations and each station was an activity that was age appropriate. We ate our lunch in a shaded area with a few benches and lots for kids to sit on. It was a wonderful trip that all of them enjoyed so much! We had kids from 3 to 6 yrs old with us.

Best place to learn about plant taxonomy in Texas with good building concept. The laboratium should be very useful for university students if they want do some research about plant. Many collection of plant herbariums, books and pictures. There is also room for children to learn something. Nice people will guide you to see around the building. If you lucky, you can see horses eat the grass at the backyard as their method to clean grass. There is solar panel on the roof.

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at the BRIT. It was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. The staff, both Katherine and Courtney, were amazingly kind, thorough, and patient as I asked approximately ten million questions.

One of the things I appreciated most was how helpful they were. About a month before the wedding, the house I was supposed to stay at, and where we would have taken pictures in the morning if it rained, fell through. I asked the BRIT if we could use the atrium as a rain plan and they were very accommodating, which was great, because it rained. We had a really nice, dry, space to take pictures and we ended up getting a really nice first look. Courtney was also very helpful when our caterer needed twice as many tables as they said they would the week before.

We had 160 people at our wedding. It was an afternoon wedding and didn't have a formal meal service so we did not have tables for everyone, but we probably could have made it work if we had needed to. Courtney was really helpful as we worked on the floor plan and I was very happy with how everything turned out. The space was also beautiful, and the natural light was great. We were able to see the outside without having to experience the outside, which was fortunate given the weather.

All around it was a great experience and it was an extra bonus to my husband and I that our wedding could contribute science and education in such a cool way.

My wife and I had our wedding at the BRIT. We originally were going to have the ceremony at the lower rose garden but due to rain we were unable to. Our event coordinator Paige, helped save the day and got our venue change to the atrium of the BRIT and it was absolutely perfect! Paige, the food team, and all BRIT staff were incredibly accommodating and professional!
