Scammed. They disable your software remotely and ask you for more money.
I'm one of the many customers that got their product disabled remotely. One day I was using it, the next day it said that the registration code was expired. I got an absolutely absurd reply from support that basically told me to pay again.

THIS COMPANY SCAMS YOU
They sell perpetual licenses, and after a couple years they let the serial expire to sell the latest version.
This is the error message I received:

"Sorry...
Your registration code RCAT1*H-1295 for Replay Media Catcher has expired. In order to keep using the latest version we suggest that you upgrade your license."

I did not update the system, and I did not make any system changes. Same error message after uninstalling rebooting and reinstalling.

So I contacted the support.
I received an answer from a person "Thomas" from Applian LLC with a stupid standard answer. They denied any support - although everything points to the fact that they caused the issue.

My recommendation:
DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCTS FROM APPLIAN NOR JAKSTA.

The program
Used to be awesome, after I bought a new computer and installed the program having windows 11 I received an error Jaksta_Va.sys file could not be loaded. Contacted support they told me to turn off my men integrity which I did and the file installed! Problem was after 5-10 minutes my internet would stop working altogether! After spend a lot of time back and for with tech they told me it was a computer or internet problem. I called my internet service and they ran through their routine no fix. Call HP. I called them, they spent a couple of hours on the issue and said I needed upper level support, paid 79.99 to be told I’d have to reinstall windows and start over to get the jaksta file removed!
I guess I should have known better but paid for the windows 11 upgrade to replay 2024. Tried to download it kept sending me the max version even though I was clicking on the windows version. Finally I decided to download the replay catcher 2024 (not the program I paid for)
And when installed I received the same error. Again back and forth with tech support they again told me to turn off mềm ủng, when I said I wanted to make sure they would take responsibility to get the file removed if the same issue happened, they said you can download a 3rd party program to remove it if it didn’t work, I said I don't like downloading 3rd party programs and repeated i wanted them to make sure my computer was returned to its previous state when the program didn't work, and if that wasn't something y
they'd do Id write a bad review! so today I get a message they closed my trouble ticket, and didn't even return my money for a program i never downloaded!

These are excellent programs. Do not let the negative reviews prevent you from using these programs. They are incredibly easy to use, at least the audio and video capture are, and I have asked them twice for assistance and they have been very helpful. I do understand the complaint about charging for upgrades but hey, they are trying to make a buck, a livable wage if you will, so I don't mind the charge. If you are wanting to record music or videos off of a computer look no further.

I've used their Replay tools for video capture and similar for years. I've been incredibly happy with the tools. My only complaint is the frequency of paid upgrades being released.

It seems as of late almost every time I launch one of the tools there's another paid upgrade available. I don't mind paying for meaningful upgrades and have done so many times over the years, but the last few upgrades I paid for really didn't seem to give me any new features. Just a new version number.

I still love their tools and will support their development efforts. I just want to see some meaningful enhancements worth paying again for the tools.

Extremely unfriendly and unpredictable program. totally non intuitive. I am a pretty experienced computer user and usually figure out almost any program I acquire without having to look at the instructions. In this one even the instructions to record a video are impossible to understand. I would put zero star if I could so I am putting 1 star as it is the worst choice I can pick. I regret the money I spent but even more so the time I wasted to try to make this program work. DO NOT BUY IT !!!
