So I just got done I couldn't last a week, I got emotional and I started crying I went to talk to an adult working there to look for support or guidance or something but I just got a sarcastic "Aw is someone upset that no one is taking care of her?" And one of the counselors just straight up told me I should've stayed home if I was going to cry. Another thing is people come into ur dorm in the middle of the night idk what that was about but that just creeped me out and I couldn't stay another night there. Basically I wouldn't recommend job corp at least not in this state.

highly toxic, doesn't care about its students or staff and will diminish, insult,bully and degrade anyone who they can't micro manage and ridicule into compliance. don't send your kids here, they lie about programs,completion time and standards. a lot of rules are in place at the discretion of the director and in direction contention of job corps policy.

My grandson enrolled here and was promised welding training. 8 months later and still no teacher or facilities for welding. Was encouraged to quit the program several times by faculty. The staff are unprofessional and unqualified to supervise or teach. Inappropriate behavior by staff. The Director is clueless as to how to manage the staff or the program. Such a disappointment for me grandson. Go to a different state for Job Corp this center is the worst!

This isn't for the light hearted. You know what? If you are light hearted, come in. We'll help you out
Although there might be a few rules... maybe 5-35 rules(?), this place is top notch depending on the type of students that come in. There was a time nice, motivated students came in and this place was running smoothly. There's times loud kids came in and some things had to change. Like, seriously, who picks up something off the ground and has it?
Regardless of all that, this program requires full devotion and motivation to get you to where you want to be. The staff can be really kind and go the mile to help you. I'm really happy to be here. They provide free breakfast, lunch and dinner (this food is amazing btw). You can learn how to drive and get your driver's license for free. Education is free and they PAY YOU every 2 weeks. The staff are so kind and helpful... and funny. If you need anything, they'll help you. Trust me.

My son got his hopes of getting some welding training here as stated in a few places, told them that is what he was looking for and when he went in for interview they told him they did not have classes for that and told him they wanted him to go into something different! He was willing but still disappointed because he was hopfull for a class they don't have!

This place, are those who are serious about furthering their career. Under certain circumstances you the student are allowed to train for more than one trade. They provide everything that you would need to be successful. It really depends on the person and their attitude if they want to be successful or not.

Avoid the program until serious revision of the center happens. They are currently under awful management and do not succeed in the purpose intended. They have removed any freedoms along with responsibility required for the real world. If last resort yes take the program, but if you're able to get a job even if it's anywhere take it. This program doesn't prepare you for work, the real world, finding a job or really preparing a resume. They just review your ability and provide you three hots and a cot. You're better off trying to find a part time job and getting the education by yourself.
