Alyssa and her assistant, Toni, if I remember her name correctly, were an amazing team. Since this was my first visit to their department, Alyssa took at least 15 minutes to get to know me, address any concerns I might have regarding my procedure. As the procedure progressed, Alyssa kept me informed as to what she was doing and why. She and Toni had a calming demeanor and great teamwork as they passed instruments and noted what they were observing. I was extremely impressed with everyone, registration included, because of their professionalism, care, and efficiency. Thank you!

I received the best care from all the staff. They made me feel like I was family. Home away from home. And they didn't have just one or two Dr.s helping you, it was a whole team. And you are the team captain. I highly recommend Huntsman.

There are not enough words to express how grateful our family is to the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Everything about this place is amazing. The patient and family care you receive is like nothing I have ever seen. The doctors and staff there took us from one of the worst days and news of our life to truly performing a miracle on my dad. They were kind, caring and compassionate through the entire process. My mom and I were treated with loving kindness and support by the entire staff. And they still are watching over my dad’s recovery and are completely accommodating my mom who is right by his side. It is a very humbling experience to see so many people from all over walk in and out the door who are literally fight for their lives. This hospital does everything they can to make it easier. Everything from a cancer learning center that’s the size of a library, complimentary snack and beverage bar, complimentary greeting cards for visitors to give to patients and toys and blankets for the little kids waiting for their mom and dads to come out of surgery. Thank you Huntsman for such a beautiful place for my family to come to. And everyone please join me in a prayer for everyone that walks the hallways there that they know and feel Gods love during their difficult times! Let them feel peace and comfort. Was there for surgery 6 years ago, and unfortunately, I'm having time come back! However, what surgery was performed there had NO bearing on why I'm returning!
Simply put, my cancer has returned after 13 years!
The staff, ie doctor's, nursing staff, and physical therapy are second to none! This is why I'm coming back to Huntsman!!!

Words alone can’t begin to describe my gratitude to Dr. Akerley, ONE OF A KIND, his combined abilities, dedication and command of his field, not to ignore the unique ease and compassion with which he relates to a patient. I am forever grateful and fortunate. I am just as indebted to the surgeon, Dr. Varghese who 40 months ago skillfully performed a delicate lung procedure that left me free of a malignant tumor but with minimal impact on my normal and usual daily function. The entire operation at Huntsman, including a well polished and inspiring nursing staff, make it possible for this hospital to deliver health care as it should be. Dr. Grossman is personable, but professional and gets down to business quickly. I think he respects the time of the patient. He is thorough with his staff as he mentors them and helps them input data in the computer to be accurate. I totally trust him and enjoy his supporting staff. They are all friendly and attentive.

Dr Lambert and her staff are outstanding. Caring, empathic, and highly competent. She is also an excellent technical surgeon. It sounds like hyperbole to say that Dr Lambert literally saved my life when I was very ill, but I am doing well and living a very fulfilling life because of her outstanding technical skill and knowledge.
