I can't say enough wonderful things about my new home and the Vermod folks who built it. Overall, I've found their work clever, high quality, and budget-friendly. In my case, it's affordable state-of-the-art. I was even able to include some special features (e.g. curbless shower) and individuality (a barn door) in my home package.
I've been able to rack up enough solar credits last summer to get me through a cold winter with no electric bills except the meter.
In my experience, the Vermod folks work very hard and put heart and soul into their work. I'm amazed that I own such a wonderful, cozy, cool, space.

We purchased our Vermod home in December of 2017. A 2 bedroom, 960 square foot spacious, bright and quiet home. Not knowing anything about solar or heat pumps I had concerns about performance and maintenance. However, Steve Davis personally walked me through the workings of the home. Vermod homes are unique and they even helped me get the proper home owner’s insurance for my home. You can’t beat them for their concerns about your concerns and their product. My home is warm in the winter and cool in Sumer, I could not be more satisfied.

Really enjoyed visiting this week talking to Amy and Amanda. Toured the model home which is lovely. Designs are really suitable and customizable. Definitely check them out if you are looking to purchase a home that checks all the energy efficiency boxes!

Once we learned about Vermod’s philosophy and met with their team our decision of who would build our new home was an easy one. It was clear from the outset that Vermod was committed to working with us to construct an energy efficient, affordable, modest-sized home customized to our tastes and lifestyle. Throughout the design process everyone we met with was open to our ideas and highly collaborative. Most importantly, having lived in the house now for over three years, we find it offers everything we’d hoped. Throughout all phases of our home build project, from the early stages of financials and design to livability years later, we are thankful we chose Vermod as our builder.

Vermod built us a wonderful home for a fraction of the cost of other builders in our area. It's nearly net zero and is quite beautiful. They worked closely with us in the design process, kept us informed as the home was being built, and have been readily available when questions have come up since we moved in over three years ago. I cannot recommend this company enough.

My parents bought a Vermod unit and really like it. It was time for them to go to a one level home and this home fit the bill. The walls are 10" thick and the home is super energy efficient. They had solar installed on the roof and they have yet to pay an electric bill. All the appliances that come with the home are energy star. The floor plan works well for the two of them. Depending on where you have it installed, you can add decks/porches to expand your outdoor space. Vermod is very flexible with their design and even built a special place for my parent's cat to have a private litter box that only the cat knows is there!
