I absolutely love Southwest Tech. The Practical Nursing program has helped me pursue my career goals and helped me to succeed in and out of the classroom. The teachers, staff, and faculty all work together as a team to help each individual succeed and feel supported. I could not have asked for a better education or experience. I am excited to take what I have learned at Southwest Tech and use it to bless the lives of others!

Southwest Technical College is an incredibly personable and reliable tech school. The instructors go above and beyond to help students take steps toward accomplishing their goals while loving them along the way. I could not be more impressed with the college’s high standard of learning and communication. I would recommend the Southwest Practical Nursing Program to any and all who were on the fence. It has helped me become a better and more educated individual, and I couldn’t be more grateful for that.

From the very beginning, my experience has not only met my expectations, but exceeded them in almost every way. I have never felt so at home while in an academic environment. The instructors go above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and appreciated, and they actually care about my education as much as I do. Furthermore, the staff is extremely patient and kind in every situation that may arise, as well as very efficient in getting any problems solved in a very reasonable manner. Southwest Tech is an amazing school that I strongly recommend to all who are willing to give it a try!

It used to be a good school. However, it has gone down hill fast!!! There is a general lack of structure, in the courses, and badly needed material, like textbooks, consistently do not arrive on time. Refund policy is practically non existent. I can not voice concern's with out severe retaliation.
I have experienced gender discrimination, & the teachers are not held to a level of accountability. I Have seen other concerns of a similar nature voiced by other students, and there is a real effort to keep these students from talking about these problems. Our voice is being suppressed! They even tried to go to my work and get me fired!!!

The medical program is set up for failure. I graduated and was not able to find a medical assisting job for 4 years while other students that were favored got jobs immediately after graduation. The time being there I was treated poorly by instructors almost making me quit the program. The emotional stress caused by them was unnecessary and unprofessional. The programs such as CNA, medical assisting, and phlebotomy are a waste of money and experience.

Southwest Tech has hands down been the best college I have attended. The staff is resourceful and friendly, the teachers provide hands on learning and make sure you succeed. I went in unsure about the program and the school but left wanting everyone to experience what I did. I feel confident about my skills in my trade and came out with certifications and licenses I couldn’t have gotten on my own.

Returning to a schooling environment at 50 something was extremely intimidating. Not knowing if I would be able to keep up with working full time and attending classes. But all of the staff and instructors at Southwest Technical College were helpful beyond my wildest expectations. From the very beginning enrollment process thru to graduation, I felt like i was supported and had a purpose. If I ever needed help, had questions, or wanted to talk; someone was there for me. I felt like i could approach anyone and they would go out of their way to help. Every staff member had one objective, to help me succeed. And succeed I did. I graduated as the Southwest Technology College 2017 Student of the Year and Culinary Student of the Year. I left with pride in my heart that I was affiliated with a fantastic and affordable college. Since graduating I have started a bakery, ventured with my own baking business and work at our local hospital in Nutritional Services. I would not have been able to fulfill these without the incredible staff and support from Southwest Technical College.

It is a excellent school the staff is so amazing there.I love how the teachers are always there to help. If you get stuck or can't figure something out they are quick to help you out. They will always make sure you understand everything. I just want to thank Jessica Hill for getting me started in the school. Also Hanna Dawson giving me a lot of helpful information in her class amazing teacher, and for Chloe Johnson for being such an amazing welding instructor. Thanks for getting me on the right track for my future goals.
