We had our initial interview over a month ago. The intake person was supposed to send me an email in MyChart so I could send records. No email and I’ve called two times to follow up. The last time we lived in the area, she was a patient. You’d think we would get more courtesy as a returning patient. It was a three month wait to see a psychiatrist, and I don’t know if we are even on the list.

My child was screened for autism at the AARTS Center and was on the wait list for psychotherapy for 2 years. His therapist was was a student, which I was ok with initially and by the third session I felt it wasn't for him. The student therapist was rude at times and wouldn't allow me to speak by talking over me. I felt like I couldn't even ask questions concerning my child. I think my child could've benefited more with a professional with more experience, especially after waiting 2 years.

My daughter is quite unpleased with society but whenever she visits our phyc team here she is more than ecstatic. Im very appreciative of those whom we've had helped us overcome many milestones. Would recommend

My son was diagnosed with ASD by one of the psychologists here; over a month later we are still waiting to receive our official written evaluation from her. We can’t move forward with therapy or school assistance without it. How can this clinic claim they want to help children if they sit on the work that is necessary to do so?

UPDATE: it has been 3 months since my son’s appointment and we still have not received his report. We have not been able to enroll him in ABA therapy or an autism-specific school readiness program because of the negligence at this office.

I suspect the Rush "AARTS" autism program receives federal and state grant money. But they shouldn't. They really don't have a program and should take down their website. I put my loved one with autism on the "wait list" in 2019 and called subsequently every few months for a few years. Either they didn't answer or they told me to call back. There is nothing there. It's fraudulent.

My son came here not only for an assessments but to take part in research that helped him learn how to imitate, opening doors for him to learn and engage in play, and it taught me how to help him engage and mimic behaviors. In addition, I've had many opportunities to attend information seminars and engage in valuable discussions. Highly recommend. While wait lists may be a factor, you'll find that wait lists are a common thing for autism services. The AARTS center and staff do an amazing job and they are dedicated to helping the families they work with.

The worst place to take your son/daughter to be evaluated if you think they have Asperger or even to do an IQ test. More than a year on the waiting list, finally went to appointment with Dr. Moriuchi on May 2022, delayed 2 months for some results in an interview but asked for written detailed results of IQ test, evaluation and recommendation and they never came. Followed up with many emails and phone calls every single month until I gave up in December 2022. When calling the AARTS reception staff, they lack in training of customer attention and how to treat parents waiting and waiting for results. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE for your child.

I have been a patient with one of the psychiatrists there for a while, I never had any problems getting prescriptions refilled until ,y doctors nurse practitioner left and now it takes usually up to 5 days after initially calling and then continuously hounding them day after day to get my doctor to simply sign off on the prescription, it’s absurd, I plan on switching providers at the first opportunity I have. Would give zero stars if I could.
