I have a FABULOUS EYE SPECIALIST Dr. Eileen Bowden at Mitchel & Shannon Wong Eye Institute. The office is located inside the UT Austin Health building at 1601 Trinity, Austin, Texas. There is a nice cafeteria as you walk in and look to the left. I grab a cappuccino and breakfast after my visit with Dr. Bowden. She is what every doctor should live up to...a wonderful listener, caring, attentive to details and your questions and she is brilliant. She was trained at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami/the institute that treats patients from all over the world. Bascom Palmer has been voted THE number 1 eye institute for 23 consecutive years. It IS a big deal to be trained as a Bascom Palmer Fellow. Only the VERY BEST are accepted into this rigorous program. But as a patient, once you have been examined by a Bascom Palmer Medical Doctor, you will never return to eye doctors who were not trained in Miami. The difference is life and eye saving. I fly to Austin to see Dr. Bowden especially if I have an eye emergency. Dr. Bowden's staff replied to an issue I had with a telephonic reply quickly. Dr. Bowden saw my eye in under 24 hours. My surgeon in Miami trained Dr. Bowden and I trust both of them with my precious eyes. If you knew them, you would too. They are honest and caring. I am blessed to have my surgeon in Miami and Dr. Eileen Choudhury Bowden in Austin. May God Bless them, their eyes and hands and ALL THE GOOD THAT THEY DO. I pray for my doctors daily. God knows how grateful I am that he created generous and tireless Bascom Palmer trained physicians. My doctors have to know how very loved and appreciated they are. If you have eye issues, get to Bascom Palmer in Miami and/or Mitchel & Shannon Wong Eye Institute in Austin. You will be happy and comforted for choosing wisely.
