Doctor Hatti and his team are very compassionate and caring. They have helped me tremendously for quite some time now. I highly recommend them. His assistants Emily and Kaitlyn are very warm, friendly, compassionate and caring. I simply cannot begin to say enough good things about them. Office is very comfortable and professional with easy access to major roads and highways. Thank you Doctor Hatti, Emily and Kaitlyn for being the best and truly caring about my mental health and helping me get better. Each of you are very much appreciated. Overall I had a positive experience with Suburban Research Associates. My biggest criticism stems from my interactions with Dr. Hatti. Dr. Hatti seems to suffer from auditory deficit disorder. On multiple occasions I have conveyed to Dr. Hatti that I was sleep-deprived from being off a particular medication. Dr. Hatti encouraged me to hang in there as he believed I was benefiting from the experimental medication. It was not a good outcome.
On the positive side I found the rest of the staff to be incredibly professional.

While you’re part of their research you’re seen as an important patient, but as soon as you decide to leave the program and stop taking the experimental medication, you become an immediate afterthought. Dr. Hatti no longer calls you on time as scheduled the way he always would, even though he’s supposed to keep you as a patient and oversee your progress (and continue renewing your prescription) for 3 more months after the entire process is over, until you can find your own psychiatrist. Normally I wouldn’t complain about this sort of thing, but seeing as how this is a MEDICAL facility and staying on your prescribed medication is EXTREMELY important (missing even a day can cause suicidal thoughts if you’re on an antidepressant), you’d think that these people would care more and fulfill their responsibility for those 3 months too and remember to actually call you for the appointments you have scheduled with them. Especially during COVID.

And just as an FYI, my inability to get my prescription immediately renewed by Dr Hatti’s carelessness led me to have a full blown panic attack. I would strongly suggest that if he wants to remain in his practice, to treat people like PEOPLE, instead of just a number on his clipboard. And to also read up on all CURRENT information provided about medications, since he seemed to be completely aloof to the fact that weight gain is a very common side effect (which is widely known by everyone, not just psychiatrists).

It’s a shame I had to leave this review at all because I honestly liked this place and everyone else has been warm, welcoming & accommodating. But the gigantic oversight on Hatti’s part really did warrant this review and warning for other people. Please take note of this and NEVER leave a patient without access to their prescription refill ever again. This is serious, and people’s lives you’re messing with.

It's hard for me to convey just how much in awe l am with Suburban's process so far. The staff have been beyond flexible with my schedule. In fact, I reached out quite late into the evening and received an immediate response, quite to my surprise. Every staff member I have spoken with so far has been kind, patient, compassionate, and a genuinely good listener. I haven't felt this comfortable discussing my medical history with anyone at any point in my life, not even my primary care provider. I felt understood, valued, and as if I didn't have to justify or explain myself to exhaustion. Each step of the process has been very smooth. I look forward to proceeding with my first study, and I feel confident that my health and well-being are the number one consideration at Suburban Research.
