Staff was nice and kind . When I picked up my dog as he sat in the car I realized he was soaked in urine and smelled of urine. He was there all day 7:30am to 4:30pm. Received a call with recommendation of his ear sickness at 3:30pm. I was very disappointed on how he seemed to not have been taken care of properly during his long stay in their care. He was very not himself when back in my care . This makes me question what happened?
1day after the insistent, my dog would not eat nor make eye contact, he was somewhat in a docile state, he kept licking his paws , arm and inner thigh. That’s when I noticed his injuries . These injuries were not present when I dropped him off for his vet visit. I can only suspect that they were induced while in their care . I am making sure that all will know of this horrible animal cruelty situation. Rest assured that the SPCA and ASPCA will be notified .
I will not be returning to this location and I urge those who do to be mindful and find a different location .
4 days later of initial post .
This location is completely unprofessional.
Management posted for me to contact Banfield Cares … they responded with wanting the details of the account and referred to location management for resolution. At this point this is the runaround and point the finger game of who will address this situation. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
See here regarding their response :

Once you have supplied us with this information, we will forward your comments and concerns to the local hospital management and their field leadership for review, and you should receive communication from a member of that team within 3–5 business days.

Thank you,

Even though I could not afford to bring my pets, they were super helpful, gave advise that I followed. They are now back to their frisky selves.

Love this place!! Wish I would have signed up for the wellness plan a lot sooner, I had no idea it covered for bloodwork that was CBC. I thought it only used bloodwork to test for heart worms or something. Couldn’t be more grateful!!!

I already have the earliest appointment available. (3 days away)
I called around to different vets to see if someone who’s seen a similar case could let me know whether or not it is an emergency digestive problem that cant wait on an appointment, or something common that should be treated by appointment.
Unfortunately the people who answer the phones do not care about the well-being of your dog until you’re physically there spending money.
No questions can be answered.
No doctor is ever available (not even to answer one yes or no question)
No one (accessible) is any more knowledgeable about animals than you are with 2 minutes of google searches.
They will let your pet die before they offer the slightest service before your paid for ‘appointment’.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Took my fur baby to Banfield Pet Hospital in Dallas. I suspected my baby wasn't feeling well, so I wanted to get him checked out. Staff was great, unfortunately he has lymphoma. Dr. Trent
and Dr. Medina were awesome. Dr. Trent followed up by phone and he was able to answer my questions. I still feel a little lost on next steps, but I've done my research on what's best. The Wellness plan has been worth the monthly investment over the past 14 years. Thank you Banfield and Petsmart for being part of our lives for so long.
